About the role
We are seeking a seasoned MDM Program Architect to lead the design and delivery of our enterprise Master Data Management strategy. You will define the architectural blueprint for master data domains — including customer, product, supplier, and employee — and partner with business and technology stakeholders to drive trusted, governed, and reusable data assets at scale. This is a high-visibility role at the intersection of data governance, enterprise architecture, and digital transformation.
Key responsibilities
- Define and own the enterprise MDM architecture, covering hub strategy, data model design, identity resolution, and golden record management across domains.
- Lead the end-to-end MDM program — from business case and roadmap through implementation, adoption, and continuous improvement — in close collaboration with data governance, integration, and platform teams.
- Evaluate, select, and guide implementation of MDM platforms (e.g., Informatica MDM, Reltio, Stibo STEP, SAP MDG, Semarchy) and supporting tooling.
- Establish and enforce data stewardship models, data quality KPIs, and governance policies to sustain long-term MDM health and compliance.
- Partner with ERP, CRM, and analytics teams to align MDM with enterprise data flows, ensuring consistency across source systems and consuming applications.
- Mentor architects and data engineers, fostering a center of excellence for MDM practices across the organization.
- Communicate architecture decisions, trade-offs, and program status clearly to executive and non-technical stakeholders.
Required
- 12+ years in data architecture or data management, with at least 5 years dedicated to MDM programs.
- Hands-on experience architecting MDM solutions across multiple domains (customer, product, supplier, or location).
- Deep knowledge of MDM styles (registry, consolidation, coexistence, centralized) and when to apply each.
- Strong background in data modeling, entity resolution, data quality, and data governance frameworks (DAMA, DCAM).
- Experience with cloud-native data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and integration patterns (REST, event-driven, ETL/ELT).Proven ability to lead large cross-functional programs in complex enterprise environments.
Preferred
- Certification in TOGAF, Zachman, or equivalent enterprise architecture framework.
- Experience with data mesh, data fabric, or federated governance models.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements (GDPR, CCPA) as they relate to master data.• Graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Prior experience in industries with complex master data needs — retail, manufacturing, pharma, or financial services.
